Spanish ultra-runner Kilian Jornet has ascended Everest in a world-record time of just 26 hours without the use of any fixed ropes or supplemental oxygen.

Kilian started from a base camp (5,100m) at 10pm on Saturday 20th May and reached the summit (8,484m) via the traditional route up the north face of Everest at midnight of the 21st May 2017.
